I wish there was a searchable electronic version! Although organized by state (which is a very large area) it is impossible to find quickly places were we are currently located within the book... Unless you read the entire state section and memorize some interesting area -- or -- great if you use the book to select place to go in the first place.
The author completely disrespects the people who enforce leash laws by discounting its importance. This is a case where the issue is black and white. If a jurisdiction has a leash law, it must be complied with no exception. While some may feel that leash laws are unnecessary or not appropriate for certain locations, they are still legal obligated to comply while the laws are in effect. If you want a leash law changed, then work to change it. The effect of the author's views is to encourage dog owners to get into trouble, to put thier own dogs at risk, and endanger the other humans and animals in thier vicinity.Let me make this clear. I love dogs and being a good dog owner is being fully responsible for it.
