Esdras Betancourt, nació en puerto Rico y ahora reside en Estados Unidos. Completó su formación clínica pastoral en el Hospital Baptist Memorial y en el Hospital Bellevue en Nueva York. Actualmente es coordinator ministerial en la Iglesia de Dios Internacional, en Cleveland, Estados Unidos, donde lleva dieciséis años trabajando como Director de Ministerios Hispanos.

Para todo aquel que desea conocer más sobre el proceso de la psicologÃa pastoral, este libro es una herramienta de mucha utilidad. Te brinda no sólo información sobre la necesidad de la psicologÃa y entender los procesos humanos, si no que te da técnicas efectivas para manejar situaciones diarias de las personas. Mi recomendación es que se de a la tarea de conocer esta disciplina y no se deje llevar por personas que desean desprestigiar una profesión, sólo porque no estan de acuerdo con la misma. Freud no es el único teórico de la PsicologÃa.
